Your role at St John of God Health Care We are seeking a Storeperson to join our team based in Mt Lawley in a permanent full-time capacity. This position is a fast-paced role within a warehouse environment which involves a range of physical tasks and activities including pushing trolleys laden with goods for stock distribution as well as utilising supply-related computer systems. As a Storeperson, you will be responsible for maintaining hospital imprest stock levels by scanning to par levels, receiving deliveries from the warehouse and external suppliers, and accurately restocking items within their designated ward or department locations. This role also includes receiving and distributing direct-to-site deliveries in a timely and efficient manner. The Position Receiving, inspecting, verifying and accepting or rejecting all incoming materials and equipment. Thoroughly check all incoming materials and equipment for condition and accuracy. Accurately processing all necessary paperwork/documentation such as packing slips, bills of lading, packing slip/invoices and receipt reports. Assist with the unloading of goods when required using appropriate materials handling aids where necessary. Prepare and mark materials for warehouse storage or distribution to end user. Help with the organisation of returns to suppliers. Help prepare the delivery running sheets for distribution of direct delivery items. Maintain accurate filing and record management for all receipted items. Replenishment of imprest stock. Determine and record stock replenishment requirements for imprest stores as per defined schedule. Download / enter count onto computerised supply management system. Issuing of materials from the controlled stock. Accurate picking of stock from system generated pick lists, paper requisitions and over the counter requests. Packing and marking of picked items ready for distribution. Marking and processing of paperwork utilising the computer system including confirmation of actioned pick lists, entry of paper requisitions and over counter issues. Physical Activities /Work Environment: Push a trolley laden with goods to deliver/distribute stockUse a manual pallet trolley to move palletsGown up for sterile areas as directedLift and move furniture and equipmentClimb a ladder to store and retrieve materialsDrive, load and unload delivery van Position Requirements The ideal candidate will demonstrate high-level verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. They will be a strong team player, able to take direction and contribute to achieving shared goals. A proven ability to multitask, manage competing priorities, and maintain high performance within tight timeframes is essential. Candidates must possess basic mathematical and computer skills, with a keen eye for detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and stock management. An understanding of Occupational Health and Safety procedures, along with the physical capability to carry out the duties of the role, is required. A current driver’s licence is essential.
