Controls – Industrial & Commercial Electrical Wholesaler Job Type: Full time Job Description: We’re on the lookout for a Warehouse Assistant to join our team. This role supports various aspects of warehouse operations. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the timely and accurate receiving, proper storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods. You will also assist with inventory management and help maintain accurate warehouse and logistics data. This role offers a good mix of tasks — some days will be hands-on, while others will be more focused on administrative duties. The ideal candidate will be flexible, comfortable, and capable in both areas. Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM What you’ll be doing: · Assisting with cycle counts and inventory management · Picking, packing, and dispatching customer orders with a focus on accuracy and efficiency · Maintaining high standards of warehouse organisation and cleanliness · Support ad hoc administrative duties · Receiving, unpacking, and accurately storing a wide range of goods · Occasionally operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts Experience/qualifications: · Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred; candidates with a strong administrative background will also be considered · Ability to work independently while following instructions effectively · Capable of performing efficiently in a fast-paced environment · Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills · Physically fit and able to lift up to 20kg and stand for extended periods · Solid numeracy skills for accurate counting and verification of stock · Excellent communication skills and a proven team player · Proficient in computer systems, including Outlook, Excel, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Never worked in a warehouse before? No stress, prior warehouse experience is not required, we will consider applicants with the right attitude, skills & experience.
