About the Role: We are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team in Gulgong, NSW. This role involves assisting our middle-aged participant who has a Spinal Cord Injury. Our participant requires support from Monday to Friday This role is casual on-going and will involve a roster that includes: Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays, 0900-1100 Wednesdays and Fridays 0900-1500 Pay rates: Day Shift - $42.50 p/h Incentive Mileage - 72 cents per kilometre paid to Support Workers travelling to Gulgong for shift Key Responsibilities: Assistance with manual handling Assistance with domestic tasks including cleaning Assistance with meal preparation and grocery shopping Assistance with some self-care activities including grooming and dressing Medication prompting Assistance with daily Health & Rehab exercises Assistance and driving to community access Skills & Experiences: Previous experience supporting individuals with traumatic brain injuries and complex behaviours Australian Drivers Licence and insured Vehicle is a MUST Current First Aid & CPR National Police Clearance NDIS 'Worker Orientation' module and Supporting Effective Communication Module NDIS Worker Screening Check Working with Children Check Full Australian working rights Positive Attitudes and flexibility in shift times Please note: two current references are required If you meet the above criteria and are available for an immediate start, hit the "Apply" button now.
