Must have NV1 clearance 12 months CONTRACT with potential extensions Hybrid working arrangement ( 3 days a week on-site in Brisbane CBD) Daily rate: $1100 (inc SUPER) ROLE OVERVIEW We're on the lookout for an experienced Project Manager to help lead a major digital transformation within a government environment. This large-scale program is focused on modernising a national data platform by migrating core systems-including infrastructure, user interfaces, and data access capabilities-into a secure, cloud-based environment. The initiative, now in its implementation phase, includes expanding access to the platform via Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) or equivalent technology for State and Territory law enforcement partners. A cloud-based proof of concept is in progress, and the role will contribute to shaping and executing key deliverables as part of this evolving workstream. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Producing and maintaining essential project documents in line with recognised frameworks (e.g., Prince2, MSP). Delivering outcomes on time, within scope and budget, while ensuring adherence to quality standards. Managing supplier and procurement processes, including vendor selection and contract oversight. Coordinating closely with technical teams and business representatives to align project delivery with broader program goals. Identifying, tracking, and mitigating project risks and handling emerging issues efficiently. Facilitating project meetings and status reporting for internal teams and government stakeholders. Navigating the public sector environment effectively, understanding policy and program delivery structures. Overseeing one or more concurrent workstreams or projects with cross-functional teams under your guidance. MORE ABOUT YOU Strong background in project delivery within complex ICT environments. Experience with cloud transition projects, VDI, or similar technologies preferred. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills across all levels of an organisation. Sound understanding of government operations, governance structures, and program implementation cycles. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects or streams simultaneously.
