Must have experience in the ADMS-focused projects 6 months CONTRACT with potential extensions Hybrid working arrangement ( 3 days a week on-site in Melbourne CBD) Daily rate: $1050 (inc SUper) ROLE OVERVIEW We are on the lookout for an experienced Release Manager to take charge of end-to-end release coordination for a mission-critical Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) . This role is essential to delivering stable, reliable software and configuration releases that directly impact power network operations and digital grid initiatives. You'll be responsible for managing the release lifecycle from planning through to execution, ensuring all changes are delivered with minimal risk and maximum coordination across a multi-disciplinary environment encompassing IT and OT systems. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Manage and maintain the ADMS release schedule, including upgrades, enhancements, and urgent fixes . Define release scope, timelines, and coordination plans with stakeholders across business and technology teams. Lead end-to-end release activities, ensuring alignment between development, testing, operations, infrastructure, and vendors. Coordinate deployments across multiple environments (Dev, Test, UAT, Production) in line with IT/OT standards. Oversee cutover planning and execution to ensure smooth transitions with minimal operational disruption. Identify and mitigate risks related to releases; ensure rollback plans are in place and effective. Communicate release plans, progress, and impacts to stakeholders, including executive leadership. Ensure compliance with governance processes through accurate documentation and change tracking. Collaborate with QA teams to validate testing outcomes and confirm readiness for release. Support organizational readiness with training, communications, and impact assessments for each release. MORE ABOUT YOU Demonstrated experience managing release cycles in ADMS-focused projects , ideally in utilities or the energy sector. Familiarity with specific ADMS platforms such as GE Vernova GridOS, Siemens Spectrum Power , or Schneider Electric EcoStruxure ADMS . Solid understanding of IT/OT ecosystems , including the integration of SCADA, GIS, and other operational platforms with ADMS. Proven ability to implement and improve structured release processes in complex technical environments. Familiarity with both Agile/DevOps and traditional Waterfall delivery methodologies. Strong leadership skills to drive multi-team collaboration and consensus across technical and business groups. Clear and confident communication style, with the ability to translate complex technical details into accessible information for stakeholders at all levels. Solid problem-solving capabilities, with a risk-aware mindset and attention to detail. Hands-on knowledge of tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, ServiceNow , or equivalent platforms for release coordination.
