What you’ll do As Placemaking and Area Improvements Officer, you'll work directly with tenants and local community members to design and deliver initiatives that enhance the social, cultural and physical wellbeing of our tenants. From listening to residents' needs to coordinating projects with community partners, you’ll be a vital connector and changemaker. This is a unique opportunity to blend your event management skills with grassroots engagement, using your creativity and coordination skills to bring life, pride, and purpose to communities. You’ll be trusted to make a valuable impact by: Building strong, positive relationships with tenants and empowering them to shape their environments. Collaborating with local organisations and agencies to co-design inclusive, community-led improvement strategies. Leading the planning and delivery of events and projects from physical upgrades to social and cultural initiatives. Promoting engagement through clear, accessible communication including newsletters, meetings and events. Measuring impact through ongoing evaluations and adapting your approach to meet community needs. What you’ll bring To thrive in this role, you will have: Tertiary qualifications in social sciences, community services or equivalent hands-on experience. Demonstrated success in community engagement or tenant participation roles. Solid project management capabilities, including planning, execution, and evaluation. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust across diverse groups. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort with various communication channels. A collaborative and positive mindset, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team. We would also love you to have: Experience in the community housing sector or in neighbourhood revitalisation projects.
