A long-trusted mainstay of the freight industry, dedicated to simplifying and streamlining the supply chain, they take pride in finding efficiencies that translate to time and cost savings for their clients About Your exciting new role as as Senior Import Operations Coordinate import shipments using internal & external systems to work with both our customers and the entire company network of global offices. Communication both electronic and verbal with company clients, efficiently providing guidance and shipment/inquiry status Ensuring all client KPIs are achieved, and information is processed in the most efficient manner Verifying cargoes suitability for international transport and making relevant arrangements should the freight require repacking or fumigation Facilitating online airfreight /sea freight bookings of various types of cargo Ensuring competitive purchasing from all vendors globally Timely and accurate completion of import clearances and preparing import documentation Assisting in the billing process to ensure accurate coding of supplier’s invoices and timely handover of files to the company accounts team Organizing a collection of freight and onward delivery to the import location at the interstate depot, airport, or port Establishes and maintains professional relationships with carriers, transportation agencies, and sales. Provides best-in-class freight forwarding and logistics services at all times. To be successful in this role Minimum 2-3 years experience working within the import operation role Knowledge of customs and freight forwarding terminology Senior Import Operations experience Strong problem-solving skills Positive and professional attitude High attention to detail and strong planning and organizing skills Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment CargoWise experience is highly preferred but not required Possess sound organizational and analytical skills. Ability to work within a fast-paced and assertive team.
