Disara Automotive is seeking a skilled Motor Mechanic to join our experienced team at our Hallam workshop. About the Role As a Motor Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and steering. Duties and Responsibilities Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in petrol engines, transmissions, suspension, and steering systems Perform scheduled maintenance services including oil changes, tune-ups, and inspections Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and carry out effective repairs Dismantle and reassemble components as needed Replace or repair worn parts such as brake pads, wheel bearings, and filters Carry out welding work (oxy, MIG, electric) and perform roadworthy inspections Communicate with customers regarding faults, repairs, and estimates Adhere to safety protocols and maintain clean and organised work areas Test-drive vehicles after repairs to ensure proper performance Required Skills and Experience Certificate III or IV in Automotive Mechanical Technology (or equivalent) Experience in a commercial automotive workshop Demonstrated experience working with European, Asian, and Intercontinental vehicles Proficient in using diagnostic tools and computerised equipment Skilled in welding techniques (oxy, MIG, electric) Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team Benefits Competitive salary package Full-time position –-38 hours per week Long-term career development opportunities Supportive team environment with modern equipment
