The Role Reporting to the CEO, you will be a strategic and operationally hands-on CIO, charged with leading strategic transformation and optimising operational efficiency within technology across this multi-site/ divisional group. This is a pivotal executive role, serving as a key member of the leadership team, responsible for aligning ICT strategy with business goals across a diverse, fast-evolving construction group. As CIO, you will oversee the end-to-end technology environment – from enterprise architecture, systems, and applications to security, data, infrastructure, and vendor management. You will be responsible for modernising legacy platforms, driving digital enablement across functions, and ensuring that ICT becomes a strategic enabler of growth, efficiency, and customer value. Key accountabilities include: Developing and executing a scalable, cost-effective ICT roadmap aligned to business strategy Overseeing critical system upgrades (ERP, CRM, BI, construction platforms) and cloud infrastructure Driving data, analytics and reporting maturity through Power BI and integrated data warehouses Enhancing cybersecurity, governance, compliance, and disaster recovery preparedness Leading and mentoring internal ICT teams while managing third-party vendors and support partners Championing business engagement, change management and cross-functional technology adoption This role demands strong commercial acumen, exceptional communication skills, and a proven ability to lead complex ICT environments with multiple internal stakeholders and external partnerships. The CIO will actively support innovation while ensuring operational excellence, continuity, and compliance in all systems and processes. Your Profile You are a strategic technology leader with a proven record of driving enterprise-wide transformation across infrastructure, systems, and digital platforms. Combining deep technical expertise and commercial insight, you lead hands-on, influencing all organisational levels. You’ve led cross-functional teams, modernised legacy systems, and managed vendors, balancing vision with delivery to drive growth, efficiency, and customer experience. You need 8 years in senior ICT leadership with proven success in scalable strategies, systems integration, and digital transformation. Strong expertise in ERP, CRM, BI, cloud, cybersecurity, and IT governance (ITIL, Agile) is essential. Excellent vendor management, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills are required. Relevant IT qualifications and certifications are highly valued. Desirable but not essential is relevant industry experience includes exposure within Building/Construction, Manufacturing, FMCG, and/or Logistics industries.
