Experienced Payroll Officer/Financial Accountant We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer/Financial Accountant to join our growing Finance team. Key Responsibilities:Including but not limited to:PayrollOwn and manage the full payroll function for three entities and serving as the primary point of contact for all payroll-related matters.Accurately process and reconcile monthly payroll using MYOB Acumatica, including off-cycle payments, overtime, bonuses, and other salary adjustments.Ensure timely and compliant payroll tax submissions and reporting to all relevant tax authorities.Conduct annual reconciliation and Single Touch Payroll (STP) lodgement.Administer PAYG, payroll tax, superannuation, and other statutory payments.Respond to employee inquiries regarding payslips, tax, and payroll calculations.Manage internal and external audits, including payroll tax audits.Upload payment files to banking platforms and ensure secure transactions.Liaise with external tax advisors and ensure compliance with the latest Australian payroll legislation.Conduct periodic audits of payroll records and support broader financial audits.Partner with cross-functional teams to address payroll-related matters and deliver training on payroll policies and procedures.Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and integrity when handling sensitive information.Intercompany ReconciliationsEnsure balances between related entities match.Coordinate with other finance teams to resolve mismatches. Account ReconciliationsReconcile key balance sheet accounts (e.g., bank, intercompany, fixed assets, accruals).Investigate and resolve discrepancies or unusual balances.Bank ReconciliationsCompare bank statements with GL cash accounts.Identify timing differences, errors, or unauthorized transactions. Skills & Experience:5 years of hands-on experience managing end-to-end payroll for medium to large-sized organizationsExperience dealing with employment awardsIn-depth knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance across Australia, including superannuation, taxation, and statutory obligationsProficiency in Excel is desirableExperience using MYOB Acumatica is a strong advantageStrong communication skills, both written and verbalExcellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, attention to detailHighly adaptable, with a strong work ethic and the ability to manage multiple tasks with precision and minimal supervision Send your resume to Helen.Lazarou@wbinfrastructure.com.au
