Employment Type: Temporary Various Remuneration: $110,986.00 - $139,187.00 per annum Hours Per Week: 38 Requisition ID: CAM25258 - Obstetrics & Gynaecology - Advanced Trainee Supercharge your training at St George Hospital What you’ll be doing As an Advanced Trainee in Obstetrics & Gynaecology you will provide effective medical services to patients under supervision, while developing expertise in medical practice, in a complex clinical environment. The training program offers a wide variety of experiences in general obstetrics and gynaecology and trainees are exposed to high-risk obstetrics, laparoscopic endoscopy, gynaecology oncology, gynaecological endocrinology, adolescent gynaecology, menopause and reproductive medicine, providing clinical care in both normal and after hours. It meets requirements of the RANZCOG Obstetrics and Gynaecology Core Training Program. Accredited training positions are available for junior medical officers with a minimum of one year experience as a RANZCOG Core Trainee in obstetrics and gynaecology. This position can be accredited for Core RANZCOG, Advanced RANZCOG and overseas trained specialists assessed by RANZCOG as partially or substantially comparable and requiring supervised training prior to attaining FRANZCOG. If you are Core Trainee transferring from another ITP we will need evidence of your prior ITP’s agreement to the transfer before any job offer will be made. The Pelvic Floor Unit at St George is one of the largest Urogynaecological Departments in the Southern Hemisphere seeing more than 5000 women per annum. Additionally, with busy Gynaecological Oncology and Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery departments, St George Hospital provides complex gynaecological surgical care to the community with plentiful exposure and training for junior staff. Eligible for the RANZCOG Training program. At least one year experience in obstetrics and gynaecology at FRANZCOG Trainee level or equivalent. A minimum of four years post graduate experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Relevant clinical practice at a high standard. Preparedness to participate in the afterhours roster. Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
