About the Position We are seeking experienced and passionate Disability Support Workers to join our team in Ipswich and Brisbane. In this role, you will work with participants who have complex care needs, require positive behavioural supports, or are subject to restrictive practices. You will also support clients with alcohol and substance use issues. You will work collaboratively with families, clinical teams, and other professionals to deliver person-centred, strengths-based care. Key Responsibilities Delivering high-quality, individualised support to NDIS participants, including personal care, community access, skill development, and household tasks Implementing Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans and working within restrictive practice guidelines as required Supporting clients with complex health, mental health, and substance use needs Promoting choice, independence, dignity, and inclusion for every participant Accurately completing documentation, incident reports, and progress notes Engaging in ongoing training and professional development Collaborating effectively with participants, families, clinical professionals, and colleagues What We Offer A supportive, values-driven team environment Ongoing training, supervision, and opportunities for professional growth Flexible working hours and competitive remuneration Opportunities to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives A chance to contribute to a growing organisation with a genuine focus on community impact Skills & Experience Previous experience supporting individuals with complex care needs, challenging behaviours, and/or restrictive practices is essential Experience in alcohol and substance use support highly regarded Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or equivalent (desirable) Knowledge of NDIS practice standards, Positive Behaviour Support, and person-centred active support Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team Current First Aid & CPR, Blue Card, NDIS Worker Screening, and valid Driver’s Licence (or willingness to obtain) Commitment to upholding Ario Care’s values and mission How to Apply If you are passionate about empowering people with disability and want to be part of a dynamic, compassionate, and progressive team, we would love to hear from you.
