We are launching our inaugural festival this December at Cinema Nova in Melbourne. ALFF exists to showcase powerful films that raise public awareness about animals, challenge dominant narratives, and inspire compassionate change. Our 2025 festival will be our inaugural edition — and we’re seeking a passionate and strategic Head of Partnerships & Sponsorship to help us bring it to life. We’ve secured the venue and built a small committed team, now we’re looking for someone to help us build strong partnerships with aligned businesses, organisations, and donors. About the Role As Head of Partnerships & Sponsorship, you will play a key role in securing the resources that will help ALFF grow and thrive. This is a leadership volunteer position that can be tailored to suit your availability and strengths. You will be responsible for: Identifying and approaching potential sponsors, partners, and donors Creating and refining sponsorship pitch decks and materials Building and managing sponsor relationships (e.g. vegan businesses, ethical brands, media outlets) Exploring grant or philanthropic opportunities (optional) Working with the ALFF President and Social Media Lead to maximise sponsor visibility This is a volunteer role with flexible hours (approx.4–8 hours/week), ideal for someone who wants to build experience in partnerships, fundraising, or ethical event promotion — or someone with experience who wants to give back to a cause they care about. Essential Criteria Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) Confidence reaching out to businesses and stakeholders Alignment with ALFF’s mission of animal liberation and ethical storytelling Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Organised and reliable Desirable Criteria Previous experience in sponsorships, partnerships, fundraising, or related fields Experience in events, festivals, or not-for-profits Understanding of or interest in the vegan, animal advocacy, or ethical living space Ability to write pitch decks or proposals (or willingness to learn) Desire to contribute meaningfully to a values-driven, grassroots organisation We are committed to inclusivity and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, including those from underrepresented communities. You do not need to have fundraising experience: if you’re enthusiastic, aligned with our mission, and eager to learn, we’d love to hear from you. Location & Time Commitment This role can be performed remotely. We meet weekly until the lead-up to the festival (Dec 5–6, 2025). Time commitment is flexible and we’re happy to work around your availability. If you have questions about the role or would like to speak with Gonzalo prior to your application, please email hello@alff.org.au using the subject line: Head of Partnerships & Sponsorship (Volunteer) - Remote / Work from Home enquiry via EthicalJobs.
