This dynamic team plays a crucial role in safeguarding Service NSW's integrity, trust, and fostering a culture of accountability and resilience. Comprised of experts in risk management, compliance, governance, and policy development, they work collaboratively across Service NSW to provide support for comprehensive risk assessments, business continuity planning, and ensure measures are in place to comply with regulatory requirements. Their proactive approach not only minimises exposure to potential risks but also enhances Service NSW's capability to respond effectively to unforeseen challenges. Through monitoring and advisory services, the team contributes significantly to the overall stability and growth of Service NSW within the Department of Customer Service. About the Role Are you ready to make a difference by helping shape positive governance, risk and compliance culture and capability? In this role, you will advise and guide application of Service NSW's governance and risk management frameworks to support important organisational and government priorities. You will be supporting the climate change program of work for Service NSW. You will develop and define our approach, work with teams and entities across Service NSW to operationalise our approach, and assist with interpreting incoming policy/legislative changes in the climate change space. A key focus of this role will be working closely with stakeholders across the organisation to advise and support their adherence and embedding of the requirements, and contributing to organisation-wide forums. Responsibilities: Lead climate-related financial disclosure reporting for Service NSWDevelop, manage and ensure timely delivery of a work program that prepares Service NSW for climate-related financial disclosure reporting and drives climate change uplift across the organisationFacilitate the identification, assessment and management of general and climate-related risks across Service NSWDevelop, implement and enhance governance and risk management frameworksProvide general risk advice, guidance and support to business stakeholdersPrepare briefings, reports and updates on risk and climate change initiatives and progress.About You: You will have strong, demonstrable experience in climate change management within a risk management, governance and/or compliance capacity. You are well-versed in climate-related risk assessments, capability building, and embedding risk considerations into decision-making processes. You understand the current regulatory requirements relating to climate change adaptation, mitigation and climate-related financial disclosures. You will harness your experience to engage more productively with stakeholders of differing maturity levels and needs. With strong project management abilities, you will confidently manage multiple priorities as well as business-as-usual requirements.
