The Role Our client is a leader in General Palletised & Parcel Freight and is seeking a reliable and highly skilled Transport Forklift Operator to join the Team in Singleton. We have two roles available: Role 1 : Monday to Friday - 9am starts - payrate starts from $42 per hour Role 2: Sunday to Thursday - midnight starts - payrate starts from $53 per hour These roles are ongoing with a view to permanency for the right candidate. In this role, you will be required to support the daily transport operations such as loading and unloading in bound and outbound PUD and linehaul vehicles, restraining all vehicles and processing freight. Key Responsibilities Loading and unloading trucks (rigids, semi's and B Doubles) Using a 3 Tonne & or 10 Tonne forklift Sorting and handling general freight, mining freight - large oversized and awkward Opening / closing Tautliners vehicles Load restraint - straps, dogs and chains General warehouse duties including sortation of freight Liaise with admin staff regarding manifests Ensure compliance with scanning of freight Identifying damages and reporting in accordance with site process Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment Skills & Experience Hold a current forklift licence (LF) Must have prior experience operating forklifts within a transport yard highly advantageous Excellent attention to detail Ability to work within a team environment Intermediate computer skills, experience with use of Handheld scanners Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and good numeracy skills Understanding of load restraint and mass and dimensions Benefits Work as part of a tight-knit team.
