In this role, you will report to the Senior Geotechnical Engineer and work on an 8:6 roster. Your focus will be on applying geotechnical principles to support safe mining operations, while also contributing to backfill and filling activities. Your primary responsibilities will include: Developing and improving the Ground Control Management Plan and monitoring systems. Supporting the Senior Geotechnical Engineer with ground control, mining methods, and extraction sequences. Monitoring geotechnical conditions, deformation, seismicity, and ground support systems. Conducting analysis using empirical methods, numerical modelling, and rock mass classification. Providing input into mine design and planning, applying lessons learnt and managing geotechnical risks. Championing safety through HSEC compliance, incident investigations, and promoting a strong safety culture. About You Our ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Geotechnical Engineer in underground mining environments. Other key skills, experience, and qualifications: A tertiary qualification in Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline. Proficiency with relevant mining software packages, such as Rocscience, Deswik, or similar. A current C-class manual driver’s licence.
