Our Adelaide hospital is once again welcoming GP nurses to join our Specialty Veterinary Nurse program, designed to: Provide an understanding of a multidisciplinary referral and emergency hospital with on-the-job training. Build on your current knowledge and skill set while developing a deeper understanding of the specific roles and responsibilities within a specialist hospital setting. Facilitate the transition from supervised to independent specialist nursing. Prepare you for future potential full-time or part-time employment in a specialist hospital. This is a fantastic opportunity for general practice nurses to join our team for an 18-month period and expand on your foundational knowledge and skills in our referral and emergency settings. As part of the program, you will rotate through our medicine, surgery, neurology, hospital care and emergency and critical care departments . These 4-week rotational blocks allow you to immerse yourself in the department, encouraging you to step outside of your comfort zone, challenge yourself and immerge from the program with a wealth of knowledge and skills. To be considered for this role, candidates must demonstrate: Hold a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. Minimum one year of full-time experience in a General Practice Clinic. Have a positive attitude and a willingness to develop new skills. This is a full-time position for a period of 18 months with a requirement to work rotating shifts, including after hours, weekend, public holidays and peak periods. Throughout the program, some nurses may be considered for permanent roles in one of our departments, depending on availability.
