This means we work in partnership and side by side with other agencies which requires you to be open to working differently and collaboratively. We are looking for someone with expert knowledge and experience working clinical and social services management role with demonstrated capability to manage complexity, risk and embed Child and Young Person practice. The Children and Young Person’s Practice Leader will hold responsibility for providing expert practice leadership on engaging children and young people, assessing risk and needs for the infant, child, young person and family, and supporting interventions for infants, children and young people impacted by family violence and/or experiencing vulnerabilities due to other factors. A strong knowledge and understanding of the drivers/causes of family violence and child and family vulnerability, as well as the child and family services and/or broader social services sector and their fundamental practices and theories is required. Demonstrated experience in leading practice within complex service delivery contexts, particularly multi-disciplinary and multi-agency approaches to the provision of services to vulnerable children, families and diverse communities is required The role of the Practice Leader requires specialist knowledge and skills and someone who can: Bring expert knowledge and experience in clinical and social services management to lead best practice in the areas of family violence, child development, attachment and trauma theories as well as an understanding of the law and legal system in the context of responding to family violence and vulnerable children and families. Work collaboratively in an integrated team, drive cultural change, inspire positive practice cultures and support a large and varied integrated team of professionals Manage, build and maintain strong key stakeholder relationships Identify and manage obstacles and opportunities for development in the internal and external environment Effectively self manage behaviour and maintain and foster a culture of resilience What make this such a great role for you. Salary $134,288 plus super plus salary packaging (Level 8.3 SCHCADS) Office location: Bendigo, Kyneton, Maryborough or Echuca. 9am-5pm hours based at The Orange Door which makes your work/life more predictable.
