The company Our client is a specialist distributor of premium renewable energy solutions across Australia and New Zealand. They partner with leading global brands in solar inverters, battery storage, and energy management technologies to deliver innovative, future-proofed systems to the residential, commercial, and utility-scale sectors. The position Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the Technical Solar Engineer will be the go-to technical expert for customers, the sales team, and installation partners. You’ll provide pre and post-sales technical support across the company’s solar inverter and energy storage portfolio. You must utilise knowledge of assigned products, services, product applications, and pricing policies to answer enquires accurately and professionally. Duties include: Support the coordination and management of customer projects from initial inquiry through to delivery and technical handover. Provide technical support and advice to customers, installers, and internal teams. Full design, configuration, and troubleshooting of solar and battery systems. Customer quotations, order entries, and confirmations. Manage product, pricing, and stock enquiries. Liaise across internal teams – including BDMs, PSO, Credit, Accounts, Manufacturing, and Warehouse to ensure seamless customer service and delivery. Stay up to date with industry trends, standards, and product updates. Skills & experience required: Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or similar Electrical, Solar and/or Battery Storage knowledge is essential. Knowledge of New Zealand standards and grid connection requirements A knowledge of computer systems, such as SAP/Salesforce, is desirable. Excellent customer service & communication skills are essential. Ability to work autonomously and use your initiative.
