Status: Full Time, Permanent Salary range: $107,836.87 to $113,151.58 dependent on skills, qualifications and experience. Job Description Opportunity: Reporting to the Manager Finance, the Financial Services Coordinator will be responsible for a varied range of financial activities, including but not limited to the preparation of all statutory reports in accordance with accounting standards and the Local Government Act and associated regulations, approve lodgement of BAS and FBT returns, co-ordinate the audit of the Council accounts, and oversee the City’s Accounting and Accounts Officers. Desired Skills and Experience About You: To be successful in the position the ideal candidate will be in possession of a degree in Accounting, Commerce, Business or related discipline. You will have experience in working in a similar position with an advanced understanding of accounting concepts. Knowledge of the Local Government Act and associated regulations is preferable but not required.
