We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Power Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering and Planning team in Perth, WA on a Permanent Full-Time basis. Reporting to the Team Lead Power Engineering – West, you will play a key role in technical Power focussed Mechanical & Rotating Engineering specialist services to the Power Engineering Team, with a predominate focus on the Northwest Interconnected System (NWIS), Newman Inland Network and Gruyere. Key Responsibilities Provide senior-level Mechanical and Rotating Engineering support, including NPER-certified services. Act as the primary escalation point for mechanical and rotating issues across WA Power assets, balancing strategic and operational priorities. Deliver operational support for rotating and static mechanical equipment within APA Power Generation assets. Lead troubleshooting and resolution of emergent issues with rotating engineering equipment. Offer strategic and technical guidance for maintenance and inspection of rotating assets, including gas turbines, and reciprocating engines. Contribute to asset integrity through effective engineering oversight and issue resolution. Conduct small to medium capital projects upgrading assets to improve safe, reliable operation. About You Tertiary qualification in Engineering, eligible for corporate membership with Engineers Australia or equivalent experience. Registered Chartered Engineer / NPER certified. Extensive experience in the operation, maintenance, design, or construction of rotating and mechanical equipment in the Power industry, with a focus on rotating machinery. Strong technical knowledge of turbines and reciprocating engines used in power generation. Proven ability in developing and managing asset plans for power plant operations. Practical experience with vibration analysis, statutory compliance, and delivering improvements in maintenance and reliability.
