Key Responsibilities Assist Mechanical Engineers and Technologists in: - Preparing detailed plans, drawings, and mechanical designs. - Designing mechanical equipment and plant layouts. Assemble and install mechanical systems, machine tools, hydraulic power systems, and modified mechanical assemblies. Select and maintain appropriate tools, equipment, and instrumentation. Estimate material quantities, machine requirements, and associated costs. Perform and oversee field and laboratory tests for quality assurance and performance checks. Collect, analyse, and interpret technical data; create comprehensive diagrams and reports. Organise and supervise the inspection, testing, and preventative maintenance of machinery and equipment. Ensure all designs and installations adhere to engineering specifications, safety standards, and contractual requirements. About You Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical qualification. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, tools, and design techniques. Experience in industrial equipment installation and maintenance is highly desirable. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in using CAD software and mechanical testing tools is a plus.
