This opportunity is ideal for finance or accounts support professionals with strong SAP and reconciliation experience, who want to contribute to services that make a real difference to Queensland communities. About the Role As an Assistant Finance Officer, you will play a key role in supporting financial operations for Housing Services Programs. Your responsibilities will include processing tenancy and loan refunds, perform reconciliations, and maintain accurate records in support of General Ledger and housing loan systems. You will contribute to effective service delivery and financial compliance across the division. Key Responsibilities: Process daily Tenancy, Bond Loan, and Home Loan refunds and manage related correspondence Prepare and enter financial transactions including journals, accruals, and reconciliations Monitor suspense accounts, identify variances, and ensure timely resolution Provide financial support using systems such as Reside, Bondscape, and Loanscape Conduct debt reviews and process credit transfers or adjustments as needed Manage document storage, retrieval, and compliance with departmental record-keeping practices Compile balance sheet reconciliations for General Ledger accounts About You: To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate: Knowledge of or the ability to quickly learn processes relating to Rental Accounts, Bond Loans, and Housing Loans Experience working with financial systems, with a preference for SAP ECC6 Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities Understanding of Queensland Government financial policies and procedures (desirable) Mandatory Requirements: National Criminal History Check Referee checks Proof of working rights in Australia Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Hudson Hudson is committed to helping you find a workplace where you feel respected, supported, and free to thrive.
