Estimator – High-End Custom Home Builder Location: Castle Hill, NSW Salary: $100,000 – $130,000 Super (depending on years experience) Company: Leading Custom Home Builder About the Company Our client is a highly regarded, family-run residential builder with over 25 years of experience delivering bespoke homes across Sydney’s Hills District and surrounds. With a focus on quality craftsmanship, architectural integrity, and client-first service , they specialise in high-end custom homes ranging from $1.5M to $4M . Operating from modern offices in Norwest, they maintain an enviable reputation for consistency, care, and collaboration, both with clients and trades. The Role As an Estimator , you will take ownership of the full project lifecycle, from initial pricing through to tender, contract, and production handover . This is a hands-on estimating role for someone who understands the nuance of custom residential builds and can bring clarity and structure to complex, high-value projects. You’ll report directly to the business owner and collaborate closely with another Estimator in the team, who will support your onboarding. Key Responsibilities End-to-end estimating for custom residential homes (no home is ever the same) Prepare initial pricing, progress clients through to detailed tenders and contract stages Liaise with trades and suppliers for accurate pricing, scope clarification, and ongoing cost tracking Use Buildsoft and Cubit software for estimating tasks (prior experience with these or similar systems required) Manage all estimating documentation and ensure accurate contract preparation Oversee 10–20 projects annually with a consistent focus on cost accuracy and build feasibility Maintain communication with internal teams across sales, design, and construction phases Negotiate with trades and suppliers when required and manage those interactions professionally Ensure all pricing aligns with project scope, timelines, and budget expectations About You ✔ 5 - 10 years of experience in residential estimating, ideally with a focus on custom or architectural builds ✔ Proven experience in both sales and production estimating ✔ Proficient in the use of estimating software – Buildsoft or Cubit preferred, but experience with similar systems like Databuild, Business Craft, Framework etc, will be considered ✔ Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy ✔ Confident communicating directly with trades and suppliers, including negotiation when needed ✔ Able to adapt to existing estimating systems and processes ✔ A team player who values collaboration and fits into a small, close-knit culture Why Join?
