Introduction Ready to make an impact in the mining technology space? We’re on the lookout for a local, trade-qualified Communications Technician to join our Gladstone team. If you're hands-on, safety-focused, and experienced with RF and Wi-Fi systems, this is your opportunity to step into a high-impact role supporting some of Australia’s largest mining operations. This full-time role is based out of our Gladstone workshop, with regular travel to nearby surface and underground mine sites. You'll work directly with our product suite and integrated third-party technologies, delivering installation, maintenance, and repair services to our valued clients. Description What You’ll Be Doing · Install and maintain RF (radio frequency) and Wi-Fi network systems · Terminate coaxial cable and test/splice fibre optic cable · Diagnose and fault-find a wide range of comms systems · Perform bench repairs on electronic equipment · Uphold and promote site safety standards on all projects Skills And Experiences What We’re Looking For · Certificate III in Electronics and Communications (or equivalent) · 2–3 years’ experience in a similar field-based technician role · Practical experience working on mine sites – surface or underground (preferred) · Knowledge of RF systems, fibre, and mining communication tech · Strong focus on quality work and customer satisfaction · Valid National Police Check (or willingness to obtain) You’ll also need (or be willing to obtain): · Working at Heights certification · Tower Rescue certification (or equivalent) You must be based in the Gladstone region (or willing to relocate) and hold full Australian working rights.
