We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our energetic kitchen team. Qualifications & experience Minimum Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery. Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a Chef. Strong understanding of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment. In-depth knowledge of food preparation, produce, and quality standards Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with precision ensuring top-quality taste, presentation, and consistency. Ensure meals are cooked to order, with precise timing to guarantee freshness and optimal serving temperature. Uphold the restaurant’s quality standards for flavour, texture, and visual appeal in every dish. Plan and develop menu items, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences while maintaining authenticity. Ensure full compliance with local food safety regulations and industry hygiene standards. Manage kitchen inventory, including food, ingredients, and supplies, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimal waste. Provide training, leadership and mentorship to junior kitchen staff and new staff to support their professional growth and skill development. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment, ensuring tools and utensils are readily available and properly stored. Monitor and maintain all kitchen equipment to ensure it is in good working condition and scheduled for servicing as needed.
