The Role Lead the development of the agency Systems and Teaming Framework by applying systems engineering processes and methodologies, through a collaborative and programmatic approach. Support autonomous systems activities through the provision of subject matter expertise. Support Autonomous Systems and Teaming capability development activities, including working groups, exercises, testing, conferences, events. This may require travelling interstate. Plan and execute JFI-directed activities, including the drafting of regulations, policies, and risk management plans. Prepare and deliver written and verbal briefs to support JFI AST tasks. The Candidate The following criteria will be used to assess the Specified Person applying for this role: Essential: Technical expertise, demonstrable theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical experience in one or both of the following focal areas: 1. Application of Autonomous Systems. 2. Application of Artificial Intelligence in Autonomous Systems Essential: Experience in or demonstrate an ability to shape policy and regulations to enable the introduction and evolution of autonomous systems in military contexts. Essential: Possess and exhibit personable, collaborative and team-focused approaches and be capable of facilitating workshops of technical SMEs. Highly Desirable: Experience in autonomous systems development and risk controls. Highly Desirable: Expertise in planning and execution of test, evaluation and experimentation activities within Defence. Desirable: Experience in development, review and presentation of written and verbal briefs to senior Defence leaders.
