The Position The Senior HR Business Partner supports the team of HR Business partners in the delivery of quality support with Our Leaders to align business objectives with employees and operational requirements. Qualifications & experience Relevant Degree and relevant experience in Human Resources re related discipline; or less formal qualifications with substantial experience and specialist expertise in Human Resources/Industrial Relations field. Current Class C (Standard) Drivers Licence Demonstrated high level experience in providing broad generalist employee/industrial relations advice and support on agreements and trends in employee relations practices, industrial awards, State and Federal workplace legislation, and equal employment opportunity principles, within a medium or large award-based workforce. Experience in Local Government sector is desirable but not essential. Tasks & responsibilities Provision of expert HR advice to key stakeholders within AlburyCity through a HR Business Partnership model. This role is responsible for coaching and developing the HR Business Partners and is the escalation point for more complex matters. Provide our Leaders with high level strategic advice, coaching and support on a broad range of complex HR issues and practices, offering solutions in line with organisational priorities and in accordance with relevant government policy, legislation, industrial awards and departmental policy. Oversight of the team to Case manage Industrial and Employment Relations issues including performance management and misconduct issues. Develop and maintain strong partnerships with stakeholders across the business including senior managers in the business to identify and respond to trends, people/performance hotspots and emerging business issues and needs. Identify new opportunities where the broader People & Culture team can add value to the business to build capability in the area of people management, workforce planning, diversity, culture and engagement and OH&S. Hours Based on a 35 hour week, with actual days and times being Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm, with an RDO in accordance with AlburyCity’s RDO guidelines.
