A leading national distributor and service provider of specialised rail equipment is looking for a Mobile Service Technician to join their team in Sydney. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across an exciting product range, including shunters and maintenance equipment, with future operations based from Western Sydney. What You’ll Be Doing: Perform servicing, diagnostics, and repair of specialised rail equipment across customer sites. Operate independently on-site and represent the company with professionalism and initiative. Complete job documentation and service reports to a high standard. Support clients with operational queries and ensure ongoing satisfaction with equipment performance. What We’re Looking For: A trade-qualified Fitter Machinist or Mechanical Fitter (or similar mechanical discipline). Previous exposure to rail, heavy equipment, or workshop machinery (rail wheel shop experience a bonus). Strong communication skills - you can speak with clients, write reports, and manage jobs solo. Someone who enjoys hands-on work and problem-solving over desk-based roles. A proactive, reliable technician with a professional and polished approach. Also Considered: Junior mechanical or electrical engineers wanting to step away from the desk and into a hands-on role, provided you have motivation to put your knowledge to use. Why Join Us?
