The Role I'm looking for a Business Development Manager for a values-driven company operating in South East Queensland. They deliver high-quality building and maintenance projects/services across the Education, Health, Government, and Commercial sectors. This role suits someone who understands how to put a room together, ideally a tradesperson or someone with estimating experience, who also has the commercial brain to win work and help clients reach their vision. You’ll be responsible for sourcing new business, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring sales opportunities align with the company's capabilities. A strong contact list is essential - this role is the definition of "it's not what you know, it's who you know". Identify and pursue new business opportunities Leverage your existing network to build quality leads Maintain and deepen relationships with existing clients Provide practical, cost-effective advice to help clients achieve project outcomes Develop tailored proposals and tender submissions Represent the company at industry events and client meetings Collaborate closely with internal teams to align sales with delivery capabilities Estimate and scope smaller works where required Monitor performance and contribute to overall growth strategy About you: 5 years’ experience in business development within construction, maintenance, facilities management or similar Previous on tools/estimating experience Strong building knowledge Track record of identifying, winning, and growing business accounts Confident communicator and negotiator with strong presentation skills Understanding of South East QLD market and procurement processes Familiarity with government tendering platforms is a bonus Degree in Business, Marketing, or Construction preferred but not essential The Rewards: Uncapped Commission!
