Salary: $70,456.85 Super 6 weeks annual leave p.a 3 weeks personal/carer’s leave p.a 17.5% leave loading Free access to town pool 50% discount on gym membership Supportive team offering career growth opportunites About You: Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar or related role Sound understanding of relevant legislation, statutory obligations, and organisational policies Proficient in Microsoft Office Experience with finance software such as Xero or QuickBooks Current driver’s licence Tertiary qualification in finance or related field Position Summary: Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Officer will provide a broad range of financial and administrative support across rates, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll. This role requires strong knowledge of financial systems and procedures, excellent communication and organisational skills, and the ability to work to deadlines while providing internal and external support. Key Responsibilities: Undertake day-to-day financial and administrative transactions across rates, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, grants, and general ledger Prepare BAS, superannuation returns, bank deposits, and ensure accuracy of financial records Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, audits, and internal fraud protection procedures Maintain and review financial procedures in line with policies, standards, and regulations Provide in-house training on financial systems and support change initiatives Act as a key contact for finance-related queries from stakeholders If you are an experienced finance proffesional who either lives in katherine or is interested in living & working in Katherine then this could be the prefect fit.
