Description Return to Work (RTW) and Wellbeing Coordinator Reference number: 10726 Closing date: 11:00pm, 5 August 2025 Temporary Full-Time Position commencing October 2025 until February 2027 Salary starting at $108,846 per annum plus 12% superannuation. Salary commensurate with experience. Hybrid working arrangements to support work/life balance Monthly Rostered Days Off ( RDOs ) Available The Opportunity The Return to Work ( RTW ) and Wellbeing Coordinator is a key leadership role within Moonee Valley City Council’s ( Council ) Work Health and Safety ( WHS ) team and is responsible for frontline injury and illness management in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety ( OHS ) Act 2004; Workplace Injury and Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013, and associated regulations. Responsibilities Lead all aspects of Council’s illness and injury management processes including; Work-related and non-work-related injuries; WorkCover, including claims and premium management; Injury and illness-related legal claims management. Assist the management of all aspects of the relationship with the WorkSafe Agent; Support line managers in the establishment of RTW strategies; Lead Health and Wellbeing Programs / Health Workplace Programs; and, Assist in the development and implementation of WHS management systems, policies and procedures to ensure compliance and best practice. Support the People and Culture Team in the development and review of pre-employment strategies and the inherent requirements process Skills & Experience Tertiary qualification in a relevant Health Science, Work Health and Safety or related field; Extensive knowledge of contemporary theories relating to return to work, early intervention, insurance claim management and healthy workplace preventative strategies; Strong knowledge of applicable legislation, policy and accredited systems (i.e. AS/NZS 4801 or ISO 45001); Highly developed written and oral communications and the ability to translate complex information into readily understood reports, processes and programs; and, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, First Aid and CPR training, Construction White Card and Internal Auditing Certificate desirable.
