Our Client is a well-known Manufacturer of Dairy Products based in Hexham. Due to their continual growth, we are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter for an immediate start within their team. This position typically works on a Day/Afternoon rotating roster Week 1, 3, 5 etc Day Shift – Monday to Friday being 6am to 2pm Monday to Friday Week 2, 4, 6 etc Afternoon Shift – Sunday to Thursday being 1:30pm to 9:30pm Monday to Thursday The role: Preventative maintenance Maintain manufacturing equipment and site infrastructure within the food manufacturing industry Record workshop inventory and maintenance on site Participate in cross-functional projects with Quality, R&D, Engineering and be involved in new equipment design, manufacture and installation Participate in Continuous Improvement activities and projects What are we looking for? Relevant Trade qualification Hydraulic/pneumatic experience is a necessity Experience and working exposure to a variety of valves (i.e. proof processing, sanitary, mix proof, actuated, PSV’s, ball, gate, check & safety) Experience working with fixed plant machinery Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions The willingness to work as part of a team and contribute to a cooperative work environment Commitment to safety protocols and quality standards What We Offer: $51.25 per hour Day / Afternoon shift rotation A supportive and inclusive work culture If this sounds like the right fit for you, click the “Apply Now” button to submit your application.
