Your Employer Our client is a large-scale, vertically integrated horticultural business with farms across Australia. They are seeking a dedicated Section Supervisor for Orielton TAS to support farm operations across a wide range of field activities including land preparation, crop care and harvest. This full-time position is key to ensuring that farm production plans are executed efficiently and with a high standard of quality and safety. Your Role As a Section Supervisor, you will lead a team of farm workers and plant operators to implement crop treatments, and irrigation scheduling. You’ll be responsible for managing crop care operations in coordination with agronomy and operations teams while maintaining compliance with company protocols and industry regulations. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and supervise daily operations including soil preparation, planting, crop care and harvesting. Implement fertiliser and crop treatment schedules in line with agronomy advice. Monitor weather and crop conditions to determine ideal timing for field applications and ensure application efficacy. Supervise and train operators to follow crop treatment procedures safely and efficiently. Ensure that pre-plant treatments, fertiliser broadcasting, and boom spraying activities are conducted according to operational standards. Collaborate with the maintenance team to monitor and address plant and equipment upkeep needs. Liaise with farm managers and agronomists to align crop management schedules and water requirements. Maintain accurate records of fertiliser and chemical inventories, coordinating resupply where needed. Support labour allocation and productivity tracking across multiple production units. Skills & Experience Certificate IV or higher in Horticulture, Agriculture or a related discipline (or equivalent experience). At least one year of supervisory experience in large-scale horticultural or cropping operations. Experience coordinating crop treatment programs and leading teams in the field. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate and monitor a culturally diverse workforce. High level of organisation, safety awareness, and problem-solving in a production environment. Salary & Benefits Salary range of $68,000 – $78,000 per annum plus superannuation.
