Backed by INTEC's global leadership in renewable energy, our team is building capability across site preparation, bulk earthworks, drainage, access roads, foundations, and high-voltage substation civil works. With the division now established, we’re recruiting top-tier professionals to help shape our success from the ground up. About the Role As General Manager, you will lead the Civil construction business in delivering large-scale infrastructure and renewable energy projects. Based in Brisbane, this executive role offers a unique opportunity to shape and grow a new division, driving strategic growth, operational excellence, and long-term business success with full accountability for financial performance and market positioning. Key Responsibilities Strategic & Business Leadership: Lead the development and execution of the Civil Division’s business strategy to expand market share across Australia and New Zealand. Represent the company at industry forums, investor meetings, and key client negotiations to drive growth and enhance reputation. Operations & Project Delivery: Oversee the successful planning, resourcing, and delivery of civil construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to high safety and quality standards. Sales & Business Development: Lead sales pipeline management, working closely with estimating and delivery teams to secure new projects, strengthen client relationships, and explore growth opportunities in adjacent markets. People & Culture: Build and lead a high-performing, inclusive, and safety-focused team. Provide mentorship and develop talent across functions - including, estimating, and delivery - to align with business objectives. Financial & Commercial Oversight: Hold full P&L accountability, manage financial performance and commercial risk, and ensure compliance with governance, statutory requirements, and corporate policies. About You Experienced Leader – You have at least 10 years in senior leadership roles within construction or civil works, ideally including renewable energy projects. Business Growth Expert – Proven ability to scale operations, lead multidisciplinary teams, and manage full P&L responsibility. Industry Knowledgeable – Must have strong understanding of Australian civil construction legislation, WHS requirements, and commercial risk management. New Zealand civil construction knowledge/experience desired also. Effective Communicator – Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills to build relationships and influence outcomes. Tech-Savvy & Mobile – Proficient in MS Office and project management tools, with willingness to travel across Australia and New Zealand as needed. Why Join Us?
