The Position The Registrar works within the Curatorial & Collections department ensuring the professional registration and care of the Murray Art Museum Albury collection and oversees the professional handling of loaned artwork in exhibition delivery. Qualifications & experience Tertiary qualifications in Museum Studies, Conservation, or Fine Arts or related field or relevant, equivalent work experience Experience in Registration or Collection Management and/or Exhibition Management at a collecting institution, public gallery, independent or similar Tasks & responsibilities Ensure the professional registration, documentation and care of the Murray Art Museum Albury collection. Ensure the professional movement, documentation and care of loaned artworks for exhibition delivery, including freight, handling, dispersal and space preparation in line with industry best practice principles. Work collaboratively with the Curatorial & Collections team on all aspects of exhibition management. Maintain an industry standard collection management system. Hours Based on a 35 hour week, working a minimum of 28 hours per week, Monday to Friday with actual days and times to be negotiated with the supervisor.
