The company has grown to become a major national supplier to the Waste, Hire and Manufacturing industries. We are currently looking for experienced Signwriters, Printing Machinists, and Graphic Pre-Press Trades Workers join our team in Canning Vale. To be considered for these positions, you will need to have 2 years' previous experience working in a similar role. Signwriters will be responsible for : Installing custom vehicle graphics (wrapping) Designing and fabricating signs and graphics through the use of specialized signmaking software and equipment Calculating letter sizes, measuring surfaces, preparing materials, and applying decals for sign creation Estimating labour and material costs for sign production Installing signs on-site Assembling and positioning signs at client locations Print Machinists will be responsible for : Setting up, calibrating, and overseeing the operation of printing machines Evaluating press performance and quality, using both manual checks and computer systems to ensure prints meet specified standards and correcting any issues Operating wide format printing presses and using finishing equipment to produce a wide range of printed materials Loading paper or other substrates into printing machines for production runs Monitoring print quality during production, ensuring consistent results throughout the process Performing regular maintenance, repairs, adjustments, and cleaning on printing equipment Managing digital print files, processing images, and ensuring accurate output for printing operations Graphic Pre-Press Trades Workers will be responsible for : Artwork Preparation: - Review, adjust, and prepare customer artwork for large-format printing (banners, signage, vehicle wraps, decals, etc.). - Ensure files meet production requirements (correct resolution, colour mode, bleed, trim marks). Preflighting Files: - Check for missing fonts, low-resolution images, incorrect colour profiles, or layout issues. - Communicate with clients or sales staff regarding necessary file corrections or adjustments. Colour Management: - Convert RGB designs to CMYK and apply proper ICC colour profiles for accurate output. - Maintain consistency across multiple substrates (vinyl, mesh, fabric, rigid board, etc.). Imposition and Layout: - Prepare print-ready layouts with correct panelling, tiling, grommet marks, cut paths, and overlap for large graphics. - Set up files for contour cutting, CNC routing, or lamination when required. Proofing and Approvals: - Generate soft or hard proofs for internal and client approval. - Make revisions and finalise files based on feedback. Workflow and RIP Management: - Send files to RIP software (e.g., Onyx, Caldera, Fiery) and troubleshoot issues. - Monitor the digital workflow to ensure production deadlines are met. Quality Assurance: - Double-check all files before printing to minimise waste and reprints. - Collaborate with print operators to verify file integrity during production. Automation: - Keeping Print and Deliver Automation flow constant and rectifying error. - Maintaining Grafana queues to minimal.
