About the Role Relationships Australia Queensland (RAQ) is seeking a dynamic and strategic Gambling Help Services (GHS) Manager to lead and shape the future of our statewide gambling support programs. As the inaugural leader in this newly established role based at Eight Mile Plains, you will influence public policy, build strong partnerships, and drive innovative, client-centred initiatives that deliver meaningful outcomes for individuals and communities. Working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team, you will spearhead collaborative sector efforts to enhance the impact and sustainability of Gambling Help Services across Queensland, positioning RAQ at the forefront of sector development and lasting positive change. Additionally, you will: Develop and implement a clear strategic vision for RAQ’s GHS programs, aligned with sector trends and regulatory changes. Provide thought leadership through evidence-based policy advice and advocacy initiatives. Build and nurture effective relationships with government, community organisations, and key industry stakeholders. Champion a client-centred and outcomes-focused approach, embedding responsible gambling principles in all programs. Represent RAQ at sector forums, advisory groups, and major conferences, showcasing best practices. About You You are a strategic leader passionate about community wellbeing and the future of responsible gambling support. With substantial experience managing programs in community or health sectors, you excel at stakeholder engagement and advocacy at a systemic level. You are resilient, solution-focused, and ready to be a catalyst for change and innovation in the sector. Additionally, you have: Relevant undergraduate qualifications in social sciences, behavioural sciences, communications, law, or related fields. Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline (highly desirable). Proven leadership and people management experience in multidisciplinary community or health settings. Demonstrated expertise in stakeholder engagement, program development, and quality improvement. In-depth knowledge of government processes, public policy, and the gambling sector. Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and data-driven decision-making skills.
