The Role We’re on the hunt for an Associate Environmental Consultant who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and deliver contaminated land assessments that matter. You’ll work closely with technical leads, regulators, and auditors to assess risk, manage sites, and influence major redevelopment projects across QLD and beyond. You’ll Be Doing Things Like: Conducting preliminary and detailed site investigations (PSIs, DSIs) Designing and interpreting sampling, analysis and risk-based site assessments Preparing remediation action plans and site management strategies Developing Conceptual Site Models (CSMs) that hold water Writing reports that are clear, sharp and regulator-ready Collaborating with clients, auditors, labs and field teams Guiding junior staff and contributing to a strong team culture What You’ll Need: A degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Chemistry, Engineering or similar 3–6 years of experience in contaminated land consulting A solid grip on NEPM and relevant QLD guidelines (ESR, DES, CRC CARE) Fieldwork confidence technical writing chops Strong client communication skills and commercial awareness An analytical brain and practical, solutions-focused mindset What’s in It for You: Flexible work options (we don’t clock-watch) Competitive salary individual perks tailored to you Real mentorship from Principal-level consultants who want you to win Exposure to some of QLD’s highest-profile and complex sites Progression pathway into senior and leadership roles A voice at the table —we want your ideas, not just your output Join Epic Environmental We’re a specialist environmental consultancy punching above our weight on major projects across Australia.
