Job Title Senior Mining Engineer - Planning Job Roster 8 days on 6 Days Off, 4 Days on 3 Days Off FIFO Perth to Leonora, DIDO or Residential Job Summary Evaluate engineering related tasks that involves the selection, analysis, and improvement of techniques and procedures Job Statement We are now seeking a Senior Mine Planning Engineer to join our Technical Services Team. Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent you will enable safe sustainable production from the Gwalia Mine through the supervision and provision of the engineering planning and scheduling functions to allow the execution of all mining activities, with special attention given to consistency between the Life of Mine (LoM), Budget and 3MRS designs and schedules. This is a permanent opportunity, working 8 days on, 6 days off , 4 Days on 3 Days Off roster. The role may be Fly-in Fly-out from Perth WA, Drive-in Drive-out from Kalgoorlie or residential in Leonora. The Opportunity: Supervising the Mine Planning Department functions, in order to deliver timely and accurate stope and development designs that optimise the extraction of Gwalia mine orebodies, Ensure that quarterly and budget schedules are appropriately aligned with the LOM & Budget Identification of underutilised capacity and opportunities for increased output, as well as analysing variances to the weekly, and quarterly forecasts, through monitoring of mining performance physicals, Identifying and communicating areas of risk in the schedule, providing support to the implementation of risk mitigation and contingency strategies, with special attention given to the period beyond the 3MS. Thus providing active feedback regarding implications of short term decision making to the period between four and eighteen months. Contribution to mine planning and stope note processes, including detailed stope reconciliation, Performance tracking against mine plans and schedules. Contributing to the mine planning and scheduling processes, through the provision of technical capacity in various areas including mine planning, drill & blast, backfill, ventilation, Dewatering and scheduling.
