Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) is seeking a Business Support Officer to join our Corporate Services Team and play a pivotal role in delivering organisation-wide office administration, coordinating internal events and providing support to the Office of the CEO and the Executive team. This is a broad and independent role that connects multi-functional teams, enhances operational efficiency and engages key external relationships. You’ll work closely with all areas of the business, contribute to organisational initiatives and help shape the way we work and improve operational administration. This position offers a diverse range of office support responsibilities, providing the opportunity to collaborate across all areas of the organisation and deliver high profile support services. You’ll play a vital role in supporting the business partnering between Corporate Services and the operational teams. Reporting to the Director Corporate Services, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop new processes that enhance organisational efficiency, while working closely with the Office of the CEO and supporting organisation-wide events. The position is being offered on an ongoing, part time basis (30 hours per week). Key responsibilities of the role include (but not limited to): Manage the supplies, ordering and disposing of general stationery items, office consumable and printer supplies Manage the agenda, minutes and actions of organisational-wide meetings, BCNA manager meetings, compliance meetings and strategic meetings Support and manage, in collaboration with the Office of the CEO, the logistics of organisation wide staff activities, planning days, staff events and other collaborative functions (including activities coordinated by the Social Club as required) Coordinate group travel arrangements where specific logistical coordination and support is required for staff and/or vendors Support BCNA and the Corporate Services team by processing requisitions and supplier invoices for office supplies, general stationery items, consumables, printer supplies and other miscellaneous purchases Provide administration support to the Fundraising, Corporate Services and Customer Experience teams including coordinating group travel, managing agendas and taking minutes for team meetings, supporting team events and activities In collaboration with the Director Corporate Services, effectively administer the corporate registers including the contracts register, organisational risk register, incident and injury management register and policy register Support internal compliance by managing and communicating operational plan actions, risk mitigation actions, and other compliance reporting requirements Coordinate the administration of corporate legal briefs, contract updates and contract reviews with the organisation's legal firm Work closely with the other office executive assistants and office administrators to support the efficient operations of BCNA's administrative and support functions Lead the management of administrative projects within BCNA to achieve project outcomes and improve operational efficiency What you'll bring to the role Proven experience in office administration across complex environments, including legal settings. Strong understanding of compliance processes such as OH&S, risk and contract management, and corporate travel systems. Highly organised with strong administrative and time management skills. Technically proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and MS Teams. Excellent communicator with the ability to build collaborative relationships and maintain confidentiality. A proactive team player with a supportive and approachable style. Ethical and principled, demonstrating professionalism and alignment with BCNA’s values. Demonstrated experience in either the health services or Not-for-Profit sector would be well regarded.
