Our centre is purpose-built with natural outdoor play areas, inviting classrooms, and a team that's passionate about early childhood education. They are now looking for a qualified and committed Childcare Worker/ Childcare Educator to join their team full-time. The Role The role for hire is a Child Care Worker / Educator based in in Underwood in QLD, it is a full-time role with an annual salary between $77,000 to $85,000 depending on experience plus superannuation. The Responsibilities Assisting in setting up and preparing educational and recreational materials for children's activities Managing children's behaviour and helping them develop positive social skills Planning and conducting age-appropriate activities for children's learning and entertainment Engaging children with stories, games, and creative play to promote learning Supervising children during recreational activities to ensure safety and engagement Overseeing children's daily routines, including transitions between activities Ensuring children's hygiene is maintained by supporting hand washing and toileting routines Encouraging children to participate in group activities to enhance social interaction Providing individual attention to children as needed to support their emotional and developmental needs Monitoring children's progress and providing feedback to parents or guardians Collaborating with other staff members to create a nurturing and educational environment Assisting children with meals and ensuring they are following proper mealtime etiquette Managing conflict resolution between children in a calm and constructive manner Maintaining a clean and organized environment for children to explore and play Building nurturing relationships with children and families Leading engaging activities that support children's development and curiosity Supporting routines like meals, sleep, and hygiene Writing learning stories and contributing to educational programs Keeping accurate documentation and daily records Supporting inclusion and responding to individual needs The Requirements A Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or an ACECQA-recognised equivalent) Minimum 12 months experience in early childhood education or childcare Minimum 12 months experience supervising children during daily routines and recreational activities Minimum 12 months experience working with children of different age groups and developmental needs Strong communication skills with children, parents, and colleagues Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and organised environment Knowledge of early learning frameworks and curriculums Experience with record-keeping, including progress reports and incident logs Ability to adapt to changing schedules and needs Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates A valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card if you're in QLD) A National Police Check Good knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS) A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for working with children Immunisation records (or willingness to provide them, if required)
