About the Role We are seeking a highly talented and passionate Chef to take a leading role in delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in accordance with our menu and kitchen standards. Develop and implement seasonal menu items and daily specials that align with customer preferences and current trends. Ensure consistent portion control, presentation, and taste across all dishes. Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory control, and maintain efficient food cost management. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and WHS practices at all times. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff and support a collaborative kitchen culture. Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery during peak periods. Assist with rostering, ordering, and liaising with suppliers where required. Skills and Experience Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification/experience). Minimum 1-2 years of experience working as a Chef in a busy kitchen, preferably in a pub or bistro setting. Strong understanding of Australian pub cuisine and modern food trends. Ability to work under pressure, manage time effectively, and multitask. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Strong attention to detail and a passion for quality and consistency.
