As our kitchen continues to thrive, we are seeking an experienced and reliable Cook to join our team and help maintain our high standards in food preparation and service. About the Role As an experienced Cook, you’ll play a vital role in preparing and serving consistent, quality meals in a fast-paced environment. The role is hands-on and ideal for someone who is passionate about food, thrives in a team, and can perform under pressure during busy service periods. Key Duties & Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of pub-style meals to order, including grill, fry, and salad station duties Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control across all dishes Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards are upheld at all times Assist with stock rotation, storage, and kitchen organisation Support the Head Chef and kitchen team with prep, service, and daily kitchen operations Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service Help train and guide junior kitchen team members as needed Follow kitchen procedures and contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment Skills and Experience Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a similar cook role within a fast-paced kitchen Strong understanding of safe food handling and hygiene practices Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple orders during peak times Solid teamwork and communication skills Availability to work across a rotating roster including nights, weekends, and public holidays A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is preferred but not essential for highly experienced candidates What We Offer Competitive hourly rates based on experience A friendly and supportive team environment A stable role in a well-established local venue Opportunity for career progression within the hospitality industry Staff meals and other benefits available Permanent full time role with a starting salary of $75K - $80K Salary (plus super).
