THE COLLEGE Moreton Bay Boys College is delighted to be looking for a Primary Years teacher to fill a fixed term position from the beginning of Term 4, 2025 to the end of Term 4, 2026. Established in 2003 MBBC is a P – 12 boys’ school set in the leafy bayside suburb of Manly West. It currently has 500 plus enrolments. At MBBC the Primary School consists of Years Prep to 6 with the Primary School Years 7 – 12. As an International Baccalaureate World school, Moreton Bay Boys’ College offers the great benefits of an internationally recognised approach to education. Our globally-focused syllabus helps boys connect with the world around them – managing, constructing and deconstructing knowledge and applying it to different contexts and experiences. Teachers use the Primary Years Program (PYP) of the International Baccalaureate to plan inquiry-based, differentiated units covering all aspects of the Australian Curriculum. The College offers a very broad program in sporting, musical and pastoral activities which are designed to enhance the holistic development of the students. Staff are expected to participate in the co-curricular program of the College. By participating in the College’s co-curricular program it is recognised that a teacher is contributing to the mission and ethos of the College. An interest or experience in the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program would be an advantage. This teacher must also be A self-directed learner. Prepared to approach change positively. Willing to contribute to curriculum development. Flexible in approach and thinking. Passionate about teaching and learning. Empathetic to the needs of students and parents. Willing and able to actively contribute to a safety citizenship culture upholding health and safety policies, procedures, hazard reporting and safe work practices. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Must hold an appropriate tertiary qualification – Degree in Education. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS Must be registered with the Queensland College of Teachers.
