Senior Investigator | ASAP–31/12/25 | $70–$85/hour super A government department is seeking an experienced Senior Investigator to join a busy regulatory team responsible for assessing and responding to complaints, concerns and non-compliance across a diverse service landscape. Key details: Contract to 31 December 2025 Hybrid: mix of WFH and office (Sterling location) Full-time hours $70–$85/hour super The role: You’ll be responsible for conducting investigations, interviews and case assessments in line with multiple legislative frameworks. Working as part of a collaborative team, you’ll manage a high-volume caseload, produce high-quality reports and compliance recommendations, and support internal decision-making processes. You’ll also contribute to policy and process improvements, while offering leadership within the team. Key responsibilities: Receive, assess and investigate complaints and notifications Conduct interviews, gather evidence and prepare formal statements Draft investigation reports, correspondence and compliance recommendations Manage records in line with internal procedures and legislation Support internal triage and case management processes Provide advice and leadership in a collaborative team environment Contribute to policy and procedural reviews About you: You’re an experienced investigator with a strong understanding of administrative law and statutory obligations. You have excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, can manage complex and competing priorities, and are confident applying legislation in a practical and consistent way. Experience conducting investigations in a regulatory or compliance context Strong written communication and reporting skills Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload Certificate IV or Diploma in Government Investigations highly regarded WWVP and National Police Check required This is a great opportunity to contribute to meaningful regulatory work in a government setting.
