Our client operates a modern, well-structured broadacre cropping enterprise spanning 5,500 hectares in south-east WA, near the coast. They are seeking an experienced and proactive General Farm Hand to join their small team ahead of harvest 2025. This full-time, long-term opportunity will suit someone who enjoys being part of a positive, can-do team, takes pride in their work, and is keen to grow their skills. This is a key hands-on role reporting directly to the owners, with long-term potential to step into an Operations Manager position. About the role: Operate and maintain broadacre machinery for seeding, spraying, and harvest; Assist with seasonal planning and implementation of the cropping program; Relocate machinery and inputs between farms (MC licence preferred); Help uphold high standards of machinery care, safety, and general property presentation; 45-hour weeks in the off-season, with extended hours during seeding and harvest; Reporting directly to the owners, with scope to manage the property in their absence over time. About you: Some broadacre cropping experience; Spraying experience preferred, though training can be provided; MC/HC licence highly desirable; Confident operating modern machinery; Strong mechanical aptitude and initiative; A safe and tidy worker with attention to detail; Good communicator who can ask questions and work well with others; Respectful, approachable, and solutions-focused with a ‘can-do’ attitude; Keen to grow within the business and step into more responsibility over time.
