Your key responsibilities will be to: provide education and student support services in line with academic requirements and the overall timetable for the work area ensure compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory controls and ensure a safe working environment for all staff and students. In this role you will be expected you utilize your extensive administrative experience and judgement, helping to analyse matters and provide advice on policy and procedures for the delivery of work outcomes. Working in a small and friendly team you may also be required to provide guidance and support to more junior staff. As such, we see the importance of recruiting talent aligned to these values and are looking for an Education Support Officer who has: experience working in a tertiary environment with working knowledge of student administration, curriculum and learning management systems such as Sydney Student, Sydney Curriculum, Canvas, Records Management, paired with a sound understanding of timetabling/rostering of student activities extensive knowledge of University policies and procedures and administrative processes within a tertiary environment effective and tactful communication skills (both verbal and written) together with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement, along with the ability to prioritize workload during busy periods strong customer service skills, demonstrating an aptitude for using initiative when problem solving, negotiating, resolving conflict and building relationships excellent teamwork skills, with an ability to link Faculty and School staff with central PSU staff to deliver positive student outcomes demonstrated understanding and knowledge of issues relating to the delivery of advice and support to students experience in student support programs or student administration, along with an understanding of current issues impacting the student experience.
