Alstom is looking for a Finance Graduate to join our new and exciting Finance Graduate program located in our North Sydney office. This program is designed to engage and develop our talent both in their home location and in other countries in to take on various leadership roles in the future. During the first 2 years of the program, there will be 12 months of international assignments in APAC or another region on a rotational basis to provide a wide experience of Alstom’s finance roles and the multicultural aspects of our organisation. Various program assignments will be undertaken on a rotational basis across Alstom’s core finance competencies such as: Finance Project Analyst Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst Industrial Controller Finance Tender Analyst Treasury/Tax Analyst Typically, you will be a part of the overall Finance organisation which covers the entire project lifecycle within Alstom, i.e. Acquisition, bid, execution and maintenance. Depending on the role undertaken, key activities could include: Ensure preparation and delivery of project financial reviews on time and at the right quality supported by strong data analysis. Support implementation of the Financial and Operational Strategy on the project. Support the Project Manager in risks, cost savings and opportunities review and work proactively with the Project team to identify and coordinate implementation of action plans. Advise Project Team about all financial matters with a strong focus on improving competitiveness. Optimize, manage and ensure no risk exposure to the project on all financial aspects: Tax, Hedging, Financing, etc. Manage and analyse costs, revenue, profitability and cash flows. Candidate Profile: Graduated with a Master’s in Finance/Chartered accountant or equivalent. 0 - 2 years’ experience in finance, auditing and/or project operational background in an international environment. Stellar academic record (Top 5%). Good communication skills and well-articulated Fluency in English. Geographically mobile (away from home country) for 12 months Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn. Problem solver: analytical-minded, tech-savvy, challenges existing processes, critical thinker. Openness to different cultures, keen traveller, a “citizen of the world”.
