Description Position Overview Contracts / Legal Specialist, Supply Chain & Procurement We are currently seeking a detail orientated and knowledgeable Contracts Specialist to join our team. Our ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of contract creation, review and amendments. You will be responsible for providing end-to-end support and advice in the form of drafting, negotiating and administration duties in relation to all procurement contractual activities for Civeo in a variety of categories. Ideally you will have completed your legal degree and be ready undertake the next phase of your career in the commercial Contracts space. This role based in our Brisbane CBD Corporate office 3 days per week, with a flexible work from home model 2 days per week. Responsibilities & Key Categories: Draft, review, and negotiate procurement contracts based on both internal and supplier scope of works, variations, deeds of novation, & renewals Identify and mitigate risk Ensure all legal and contractual matters are addressed appropriately Monitor contract performance and compliance Maintain the contract register and provide strong contract administration support Provide guidance on contract related issues to internal stakeholders Asset & Facility Management related contracts Logistics contracts (e.g., freight, bus services) Hospitality-related contracts (e.g., food, consumables, beverages, retail) Professional Services, Construction and IT contracts General goods and services, People and Culture, and corporate contracts Qualifications: A university degree in business, law, or commerce Experience: Experience working within the Procurement or Legal Industry Working knowledge of both commercial and general legal risks, terminology, and principles (preferably within the procurement sector). This position may suit someone currently working in the legal industry (junior lawyer) who is keen to pursue and gain more commercial and business-related experience. Skills: Demonstrated ability to prepare contracts and drive contract management processes to deliver contracts on time and with high levels of accuracy. Act in accordance with, and ensure all relevant procurement, legal, and finance policies, procedures, and processes are adhered to. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate into business outcomes. Ability to negotiate effectively. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to prioritise and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
